Temp: up to +205°C, PTFE tube with meltable FEP inner layer
These dual heat-shrink tubes are used mainly where chemical compounds have to be protected from contact with water, air or aggressive substances. Their major field of application are cable junctions. The tubes are composed of a PTFE hose with a fusible FEP lining fitted to its inside. During the application, the FEP lining becomes liquefied, while the outer PTFE envelope contracts thus pressing the liquefied lining onto the body to be coated. Following the cooling phase, the FEP lining sets and is thus firmly bonded to the PTFE element.
