Heat shrink tubing were developed when Raychem's scientists pioneered the application of radiation crosslinking and the development of heat-shrinkable polymer products. Today the heat shrinking tubes of TE Connectivity (Tyco / Raychem) are recognized worldwide for its high quality and wide range of applications. Raytronics AG offers you tubes made of polyolefins, fluoropolymers and elastomers enhanced by radiation crosslinking and heat-shrinkability. When heated during installation, our tubings shrinks to conform to virtually any shape. They provide dependable insulation, mechanical protection, and strain relief, as well as aesthetic appeal.

You can choose from tubings that are highly flexible or semi rigid, designed for operation in high- or low- temperature environments, and halogen-free and flame-retardant to meet a range of industry standards. Available in many sizes, constructions, lengths, and colours to meet both commercial and military specifications, our tubings can also be customized for special applications.

Installation is fast and easy with handheld heating tools or bench-mounted heaters.

Dual wall heat shrink tubes with an inner wall, either an encapsulate wall or an adhesive wall, melts and flows during installation heating, to protect against environmental damage. Encapsulate protect connections and components from splashes and corrosion, Adhesives go a step further, sealing to plastic, metal, rubber, or other substrates.

Cable identification

World leaders and innovators of a managed marker system, Raychem and TE Connectivity TMS products lead the way in ensuring operators can easily print, identify, pick, and then place printed markers onto wires or cables with ease. The adhesive strip that covers the markers helps to keep the markers flat and offers optimum material coverage for printing whilst ensuring a smooth transition under the print heat; this avoids unnecessary print head movement. The range of materials cover high performance and commercial applications such as railway, military, low-fire hazard, fluid resistant, high temperature, space, aviation, and electrical or electronic use. Laser beam technology can also be used to mark these products.

Available in two different layout, please choose between printable heat shrink sleeves on ladder format or continuous tubes. For applications with special requirements, please choose for rail EN45545-2, military and aviation MIL / AMS-DTL or UL approved sleeves. Depending on your requirements according to temperature, we divide the shrinkable and printable sleeves into 3 categories; up to +125°C, up to +150°C and up to +225°.

Solder Sleeves and Solder Devices

Solder sleeves and solder devices are designed to offer an easy one-step soluton for wire connections to tabs, posts, pins and mass wire terminations. These wire temination products are housed in a transparent heat shrink insulation sleeve, which provide inspectability and can provide various levels of environmental protection. The fluxed solder preform is essential for a highly controlled soldering process of TE Connectivity (Raychem) solder sleeves. How does Solder Sleeves and Solder Devices work?

After heating the premeasured solder and flux inside the heat shrink sleeve melts and creates a repeatable and reliable termination. The heat shrinking tube shrinks and provides a fully insulated, strain-relieved and protected connection. The solder devices help reducing inventory and installation costs, provides a strong and controlled connection and due to the transparent insulation sleeve an easy inspection of the connection.

Heat-shrinkable moulded parts, boots and transitions

Moulded parts are designed to provide rugged mechanical and environmental protections to wire and cable harnesses. Molded parts are available in different materials and different adhésive coatings. The versions with adhesive coating form a seal and protect cables and equipment from corrosion and mechanical abuse while providing excellent electrical insulating properties. Endcaps provides optimum waterproofing and encironmental protection for underground, underwater and outdoor applications. Endcaps are highly resistant to moisture, fungus and wathering. Heat shrinkable boots and transitions replace tapes, mold-in-place epoxies and grease. Transition moulded parts can be used for cable breakouts, transitions, and terminations. Wire and cables

SPEC 44 wires and cables with a dual wall construction and a temperature range of -65°C to +150°C are used in broad range of applications. Due to the flexibility and lightweight SPEC 44 wires and cables are used in aircraft, helicopters, ships, trains, defence, commercial and motorsport applications. The PVDF radiation cross-linked insulation provides a good resistance to most chemicals and electrical arc tracking.

SPEC 55 wires and cables with either single wall or dual wall construction and a temperature range of -65°C to +200°C are used in applications wherever reliable performance under extreme conditions is needed. The combination of small size, ultra-lightweight and an ETFE insulation enables SPEC 55 wires and cables for satellites, aircrafts, avionics, helicopters, high performance military and motorsport. The radiation cross-linked ETFE polymer insulations provides an exceptional chemical resistance and a good flexibility in harsh environments.
