Heat shrink tube CGPT, polyolefin tubing, general purpose

CGPT is a tough, flexible, general-purpose polyolefin tubing with good resistance to common fluids and solvents and a high dielectric strength. Its unique blend of chemical, electrical and physical properties makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including electrical insulation, strain relief, cable bundling, color-coding and identification of wires, cables, pipes, and electrical and electronic components as well as mechanical protection.

Producing heat shrink tubes is a long process of different mechanical and chemical processes. Heat shrinkable tubes of the CGPT series from TE Connectivity (Raychem, Tyco) are made of radiation crosslinked polyolefin. The CGPT polyolefin heat shrink tube was designed for general purpose applications. The single wall heat shrinking tube can be used for colour coding, electrical insulation, mechanical protection, strain relief and many more. Thanks to the polyolefin, the CGPT heat shrinkable tubes are available in a wide variety of colours and as a light weight tube it still provides a good electrical insulation. Besides these advantages CGPT heat shrinkable tubes convinces due to its high chemical resistance and solvent resistance as well as its very good physical and electrical performance.
