Silica braided sleeve with outstanding resistance to very high temperature for long term heat protection up to +1100°C
TSX and TST are high temperature resistant, multifilament pure silica fibre (>99.8%) braided sleeving. They have a continuous working temperature of -60°C to +1100°C, with peaks of up to +1350°C for 30 minutes.
TST sleeve is heat-treated to remove organic content. This heat treatment confers excellent thermal properties to the sleeving, thus offering an excellent thermal barrier against heat, fire, molten metal splashes and other projections.
The TSX sleeve has an additional impregnation disappearing above +300°C, which prevents end fray and skin irritation when cut. TSX and TST are both fireproof and radiation-proof. They are mainly used in the aircraft, railway, iron and steel, offshore and nuclear industries.
